We formulate for human skin, so we test exclusively on humans. Animal testing is not only cruel—it’s scientifically outdated. Modern testing methods using human tissue models and clinical studies provide more accurate results for how our products perform on actual skin. This commitment extends to our vegan formulations, which contain no animal-derived ingredients.

We don’t consider these practices extraordinary—they’re our baseline. Being cruelty-free and vegan isn’t a marketing claim for us; it’s fundamental to our identity. We maintain complete transparency about our sourcing and testing methods because you deserve to know exactly what you’re putting on your skin.
From Promise to Practice
Many brands talk about “natural ingredients,” but that alone isn’t enough. Some natural sourcing harms ecosystems faster than they can recover. That’s why at Dieux, we lean into “Blue biotechnology” —
cultivating potent ingredients in labs with minimal environmental strain.
Take Blue Biotech, for example: our “Air Angel Gel” and “Auracle Eye Serum” harness marine microorganisms to recreate nature’s gifts without overharvesting.
This approach helps us protect the planet and preserve high efficacy.
Packaging That Speaks Our Values
Our commitment extends beyond formulas. We replaced Instant Angel bottles with 100% PCR aluminum. Outer boxes? Now all constructed from 100% recycled paper.
For bottles made of mixed materials, we partner with Pact at Sephora; they recycle parts that curbside collection can’t.
And our deluxe samples? Made entirely from recycled aluminum, so you can toss them into your regular aluminum recycling bin.
Even with progress, we know change is ongoing. We reevaluate every year and always welcome your suggestions.
